Change Your E-mail Password

Visit: http://dnx.net:

Take the "Control Panel" menu item.

We use a self-signed server certificate. That means your browser will complain that it's risky business to connect. This could be true for websites you've never seen. You can safely trust our certificate. The connection will still have the same military grade encryption however, and that's the important thing.

Take the Control Panel Access link.

You can safely trust our certificate.

Various programs handle this differently. You now understand the risks. Do what is necessary to give your browser permission to trust our certificate.

Log into Plesk with your full E-mail address, and the current password.

Take the Preferences option:

Enter the New Password and repeat it in the Confirm Password field. Do NOT forget what you've changed it to!

NOTICE! - Weak passwords will not be allowed.

(See suggestions below for ideas on making new passwords.)

Click the button.

You're all done!

Take the Log out option at the top.

The next time you get your mail, you'll be prompted for the new password.

  • Please take responsibility for the technology you are using on a daily basis!
  • It is your password to remember. --It is your property, and not ours to remember for you!
  • If you forget your password, we will help, (but not enable), by creating a temporary one for you, and you'll need to perform this process all over.

Some Quick tips:

  • Open a book, consider any two words, take the last three letters of the first word, and the first three of the second, (capitalize the first letter), and add a number or two. These make fairly good passwords, which are often easier to remember. (For instance: ...these make fairly good... 'eseMak8', 'akeFai76', 'Rlygoo34')

  • Don't write your password down! I know we all like to do that! But if you absolutely must, don't leave it in plain sight. Lock it up, or destroy it!

  • It makes sense to have your E-mail program remember your password, but don't forget what it is!
